
For 27 years HELP has now been working as a humanitarian aid and development organization worldwide. Being founded as an organization to support Afghan refugees in Pakistan in 1981 HELP is today working in 16 countries all around the world with a portfolio that includes nearly all aspects of humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and development.
Half a year after the earth- quake in the vicinity of Port-au-Prince, the living conditions of the people remain difficult. Ever since only a few months after the quake the supply of drinking water and food is ensured. However, thousands of people are still waiting for transitional shelter in the makeshift camps. These have emerged after the disaster anywhere in the city.

The Annual Report 2008 is now online for download. The report contains interesting stories from our projects in 19 countries in the world and is now structured after thematic focusses rather than countries. It also contains more detailed and transparent information on our finances than last year.
