For 27 years HELP has now been working as a humanitarian aid and development organization worldwide. Being founded as an organization to support Afghan refugees in Pakistan in 1981 HELP is today working in 16 countries all around the world with a portfolio that includes nearly all aspects of humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and development.
Annual report 2008 for download
The Annual Report 2008 is now online for download. The report contains interesting stories from our projects in 19 countries in the world and is now structured after thematic focusses rather than countries. It also contains more detailed and transparent information on our finances than last year.
Pakistan crisis: HELP starts new project for 500.000 IDPs
Since mid-April the Pakistani army is fighting Taliban strongholds in Swat valley and other areas of the Northwest Frontier Province . Since then more than 2,4 Mio Pakistani citizens have become displaced all over the country. The medical conditions are disastrous and HELP has now started with a medical aid project for 500.000 people. The project is supported by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the New Apostolic Church Charity.
